Descrizione
An exceptionally healthy and robust variety of English rose that forms a medium-large shrub. The pink flowers are splendid at every stage: at first they appear to be shaped as a “deep and convex cup”, then they open further to show the curled inner petals that create a very beautiful light-dark effect.
The intense scent recalls the classic scent of old roses, with fruity hints of raspberries.
The foliage is green and glossy; a typical characteristic of roses belonging to the Leander group.
It grows to form a medium sized bush spreading up to: 1.25 x 0.80 m.
The name is in honor of the Duchess of Northumberland, who created one of the most important gardens of the modern era on her Alnwick estate, including a magnificent collection of English roses.
